LETTER TO ME

Dear Me,

I love you. I just haven’t said it enough.

I love you when you eat better.
I love you when you take a risk.
I love you when you sit in silence and truly listen to yourself.

And I’m sorry.
I’m sorry for all the times I ignored you.
For when I let other voices speak louder than yours.
For when I thought love meant chasing people instead of chasing my dreams.

I hear you now.

I hear you when you say, Believe in yourself.
I hear you when you say, You are enough, just as you are.
I hear you when you whisper, Get up. This day is yours.

And I promise, I will listen.

When you say, Move on from the past, I will trust you.
When you say, Take care of your body, I will respect you.
When you say, You are worthy of love, even from yourself, I will believe you.

The past is behind us. The old habits are gone. From now on, I walk with you, hand in hand, towards everything we are meant to be.
